These terms cover eluatejournal.com, the Eluate newsletter and the Personal Evidence Report. By using them, you agree to these terms. Questions: [email protected].

What Eluate is

Eluate is an independent publication. We read published research on skin, hair and health claims and explain what it says. We don't sell products, use affiliate links, or take money from brands.

Not medical advice

Everything Eluate publishes, including the Personal Evidence Report, is education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't create a doctor-patient relationship. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping or combining treatments, and especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under treatment for a condition, or taking prescription medicine.

The Personal Evidence Report

  • You must be 18 or older to order.
  • After you pay, you answer a short questionnaire. We email your written report within 5 days of receiving your answers.
  • The report covers cosmetic skin and hair goals. It summarizes published research on ingredients and habits, graded on our scale, with links to the studies.
  • If your answers suggest you need a doctor rather than a report, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
  • Reports are researched with AI tools and checked by a person before they're sent.
  • Each report includes one follow-up question by email within 30 days of delivery, and one free update after an 8-week check-in.
  • Research changes. A report reflects the evidence we found when we wrote it.

Refunds

  • If the report doesn't help, email us within 14 days of receiving it and we'll refund you in full. No forms, and you keep the report.
  • If you haven't sent your questionnaire yet, you can cancel anytime for a full refund.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars.

Our content

Our posts, grades and reports are ours. You're welcome to share links and screenshots with credit to @eluatejournal. Please don't resell our reports or copy our content in bulk.

Mistakes

We work hard to get things right and we cite every source so you can check us. When we get something wrong, we correct it in public, with the date. If you spot an error, email us.

Limits

We provide Eluate as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on our content, and our total liability for any report is limited to what you paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA.
